Thank you to all of our fantastic Library volunteers in 2015! The TLC community values your service.
Well today I delivered the final cakes to the classes who completed the Premier's Reading Challenge before the finishing date. This year I am proud to say that I baked 16 cakes for the classes in Years 4 to 9...
The BEST result ever!
This year, 24 out of 28 classes from Reception to Year 9 completed the challenge.
A huge achievement of 100% completion for the Junior School!! AMAZING!!!
Middle School completion rate - 94.5%!
Therefore, completion rate for JS + MS = 97.25%! Also AMAZING!!
Some students in the JS and MS read more than 150 books each!
Awards will arrive and be presented to students towards the end of term 4.
Well done everyone, a fantastic effort this year!
The results of the CBCA awards are in for another year.

Well what a fantastic day Book Week dress up/Challenge for Charity was this year, raising money for a great cause - Australian Lutheran World Service, supporting the people of Nepal after the recent earthquake.
Students and staff were very motivated in supporting this great cause with many heroes and villains strutting their stuff around the TLC campus. The costume competition hosted by Year 10 student Alix Kuijpers was an absolute hit! Winners were Morgan Gomer as Mystique and Tom Cleggett as Wolverine. Special mention to Charlie's Angels and the BeetleJuice/Dracula team. You can see more pics in the Special Events - Book Week Gallery.
Library staff love this day and as you can see below the costumes didn't disappoint. The crowd favourite was worn by Mrs Breakey, dressed as the book hero Geronimo Stilton...many students liked trying on her head!!
My name is Mrs Mc, you know me as your Teacher Librarian. I love reading books, but don't always have time to read. The purpose of this blog is to share books that I am reading by myself or with my family. I think I will also share other interesting news with you about books, the Library, RBL, competitions, upcoming events and more. So, tune in!
